Pirate Party Supplies
Thanks to that infamous Disney pirate trilogy, featuring the adventures of wily Jack Sparrow, pirate party supplies are in huge demand. Where once upon the time it seemed like only little boys would enjoy a hearty pirate theme, these days little girls want to captain their own ships, making a treasure filled party ideal for any child. You need not worry about this being too narrow a theme, because the options for fun supplies and party favors are virtually endless – and not all of them revolve around Disney! You can, however, get a lot of great ideas from what they offer in the way of pirate themes.
If this is for your child’s birthday party, you can never go wrong with party favors the guests can have fun with and enjoy. Treasure chests are a staple of pirate party supplies, and they make great decorations and party favors – all at once. For instance, your table setting could involve a small treasure chest in front of each child’s plate – filled with treasures, of course! You can fill it with standard party supplies, like noisemakers and things of that nature, or you can continue the pirate theme. Chocolate coins wrapped in gold foil would be an excellent addition, as would brightly colored candies, to represent jewels. You could also include little treasure maps, perhaps leading to the birthday cake, or you could organize a real treasure hunt, leading to fun little prizes.
Why not extend the theme to the birthday boy or girl and the guests? Some eye patches – another standard when it comes to pirate party supplies – some head scarves or pirate hats, a hook hand or two, and some fun face painting to give the children pirate-like scars and the appropriate stubble, and a birthday party is easily transformed into a themed costume party!
